Choosing the Right Cylinder

The best type of truck hoist cylinder is a telescopic cylinder. The reason is it can handle a great deal of linear force over an extended distance, which is typically the kind of force applied by a truck.

Telescopic cylinders are perfect for dump trucks and trailers. Rod-type cylinders won’t work in these types of applications because they don’t allow the body of the dump truck to move back to its original position. Telescopic cylinders, on the other hand, fully collapse. The body of the truck won’t be tilted as a result.
