We carry the highest quality replacement hydraulic parts from manufacturers who share our passion for value and complete customer satisfaction. These companies, known as vendor partners, use our marketplace to connect to companies across a wide range of industries, providing them with the components they need at a fraction of the price they typically pay.
You won’t ever have to deal with the “hard sell” when you buy from us. We don’t have any agreements with distributors, and we’re not beholden to any manufacturers. As a result, we can provide you with durable, reliable parts at affordable prices, and we won’t ever try to steer you in one direction or another.
We have complete confidence in each and every part you’ll see on our website. The reason is that we go to great lengths before we make any of those parts available. We don’t accept companies as vendor partners until we’ve completely vetted them for quality and devotion to customer satisfaction. Because of this, you can be confident that whatever part you buy from us will stand up to your toughest demands, day after day.
Which Kind of Telescopic Cylinder is Best for You?
Telescopic cylinders come in one of two types – single-acting cylinders and double-acting cylinders. They work under the same principle – lifting heavy loads. But there’s a difference in the way they retract. Single-acting cylinders, like you’ll find in dump trucks, use gravity to collapse, or retract. They lift the dump body using hydraulics, then use the weight of the dump body to go back to their original position.
Double-acting cylinders, on the other hand, use hydraulics to both extend and retract. They’re more suited for applications that require horizontal movement rather than vertical. Garbage trucks and ejector trucks, for example, typically have double-acting cylinders.
How to Use Telescopic Cylinders Safely
Telescopic cylinders are extremely reliable. But, like any other piece of equipment, a hydraulic cylinder needs to be used the right way in order to be as effective as possible. Here are a few tips to help ensure the safety of your workers.
- The type of cylinder you use has to be able to handle the loads you ask of it. If you have any questions whether or not you’re getting the right cylinder, we’ll be happy to answer them.
- Always try to avoid offset loading whenever possible. This can do a great deal of damage to the cylinder’s piston rods and bores. Always unload on a level surface whenever you can.
- Excessive heat can cause your cylinders to fail prematurely. Watch the operating temperatures of your equipment closely.
